Help With Your Spanish Visa Application

We arrange the health insurance for your visa or residency application. The rest of the application is separate work: the forms, the supporting documents, the translations, the appointment and the decision. If you'd like help with that part, two visa-processing services in our group can prepare and submit it with you. You choose which one, and we don't pass your details to either.

Choose your visa service

Five services cover the application itself, from a first application to a renewal in Spain. Both visa-processing services in our group offer each one at the same total price, so the choice is about how you'd like to work. Pick the service below, compare the two providers side by side, and start with either. We don't pass your details to either service.

Who this is for

These services suit people who want a professional to check their situation, tell them exactly which documents to gather and prepare the file for the consulate or immigration office. Many applicants do it all themselves, and that's a perfectly valid choice. Help is most useful when your situation has moving parts: income from several sources, family members applying with you, documents from more than one country, or a deadline that leaves little room for a second attempt.

How we fit together

The insurance is often the first thing applicants sort out and one of the things a consulate checks closely. The dates, the people named, the cover and the wording on the certificate all have to line up with the rest of the application. So we help you connect the insurance decision with the wider visa application, then let you choose the group processing service that suits you for the application itself.

In practice we look after the policy and its certificate, and check them against your route before you submit. The visa-processing service looks after the rest of the file, and you supply your personal documents and attend any appointment. The full split, stage by stage, is on how visa application help works.

The two services

The My Spanish services (My Spanish Visa, My Spanish NLV, My Spanish DNV and My Spanish Student Visa) offer managed visa processing: a case is opened online and handled stage by stage, with the fee paid in instalments as the case moves forward. My Spanish Visa describes its service as backed by Platinum Legal Spain. Platinum Legal Spain offers a legal-led visa and residency service: its team assesses the case and prepares the application, with the fee also split into stages.

They are two ways to get the same kind of help within one group, not competing quotes. Where both services publish the same total price, we show it. Payment schedules and inclusions may differ. The published figures are side by side on visa application help prices compared.

Choose the help you need

What to expect from either service

Both services start with your situation, then turn it into a document list, check what you gather, prepare the forms and support the submission. Where they differ is in the detail: how much translation is included, how official fees are treated and how the fee is staged. The route pages and prices compared set those differences out.

Where the insurance fits

Where your route requires private health insurance, it has to meet the consulate's or immigration office's requirements, and the certificate has to match the application. The service you choose will ask for the certificate when the file is put together, so it helps to sort the insurance once your route and travel dates are settled, not at the last minute. Our route guides explain what each visa asks for: visa health insurance by route.

Your details stay with us

We don't pass your insurance enquiry or any personal details to either service. Choosing a service opens its website in a new tab, where you start a separate enquiry with them. If you later tell us which service you're using, we can plan the certificate around their timetable.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to use one of these services?

No. Many people apply on their own. These services are there if you'd rather have help with the documents, forms and submission.

Is the health insurance included in their fee?

No. The insurance premium isn't part of either service's fee. Your visa health insurance is a separate policy, and the visa-processing service uses its certificate in your application.

Can they help me extend a student stay?

Both services describe help with extending a student stay. Ask each service for current pricing.

Do they give legal advice?

Platinum Legal Spain describes its team as legal and immigration specialists who work with bar-registered solicitors where a matter needs regulated legal representation. My Spanish Visa describes its service as backed by Platinum Legal Spain. For a legal question about your case, ask the service directly. We don't give legal advice: our part is the health insurance.

What if I've already started with one of them?

Tell us which route you're on and when you expect to submit, and we'll quote for insurance that fits.
